My Chef Stacey is dedicated to providing the best quality menu planning and meal preparation services possible so our clients can enjoy gathering around the table with their families again. Our purpose and constant goal is to please the customer. We are always open to suggestions or ideas that would allow us to serve you better. Keep in mind that the personal in Personal Chef is just that. If you don’t see what you are looking for, we’ll be happy to design a service to meet your needs. Personal Chef fees include consultation, menu research and planning, grocery shopping, meal preparation, storage and labeling of all meals, and clean up. Cost of groceries is not included. Charging groceries separately allows you to be in control of your grocery expenses. Scheduling If you would like regular weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly chef service please reserve your cook date or dates as far in advance as possible to insure service on the dates most convenient for you. For other services I appreciate as much notice as possible, to ensure the date you need is open, but need 48 hours notice if possible. Basic Meal Structure All entrees will be prepared in quantities of 4 servings each, based on your needs. If you have a family of more than 4 members there will be an additional charge of $10 per person over the age of 5. There will be no additional fee for children 5 and under unless special kid friendly meals are requested in addition to your regular menu plan. Each entrée includes 2 appropriate side dishes unless the dish contains a starch and vegetable (i.e. chicken pot pie or beef stew). A pantry fee of $15.00 will be charged at the first scheduled cook date of each month for those who schedule regular weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly chef service. For one time only engagements the fee will be $8.00. This fee covers the cost of miscellaneous ingredients and items that I provide in small quantities such as all spices, 1 egg, less than 1 cup of sugar, flour, vinegar, etc. Returned Check Fee Should a check be returned for any reason, client will be responsible for all charges/fees levied by the bank. Payment Payment is due in full on the day chef service is provided. A grocery deposit of $100.00 is required one week prior to your cook date. You can choose whether you would like any overpayment of grocery deposit refunded or credited to your next session. Payment may be made by check or cash. Please make all checks payable to My Chef Stacey. Container Fee The initial cooking session will include an additional charge of approximately $50.00 for the purchase of quality containers for packaging your entrees. I use a combination of Corningware, Pyrex, Rubbermaid plastic containers, aluminum pans, and Ziploc bags. The containers are yours to keep and there will be occasional replenishment as your needs change or items become worn. If you choose to use disposable pressware containers there will be a $15.00 per month container fee and if you choose to use vacuum seal bags only there will be a $20 per month charge. Additional Grocery Shopping I would be happy to accommodate you by picking up your “non cook date” groceries when I purchase those for your cook date. The fee for this service is $30.00. A complete shopping list should be emailed to me no later than 48 hours prior to your scheduled cook date. Cancellation policy Payment will be due for any services and groceries for all cancellations received less than 48 hours in advance of scheduled cook date or event. This does not apply to rescheduled cook dates. If cancellation is due to an emergency, this policy does not apply. Lock Out Policy If I am locked out of your house on a cook date and am unable to contact you to get in, there will be a $25 lock out fee. Workspace Cleaning All storage containers should be clean and easily accessible on your cook day. Please try to make appropriate space in your refrigerator & freezer for your meals to be stored. If the kitchen sink, countertop, stove, etc., are not clean when I arrive I will clean the workspace and will charge a cleaning fee of $25.00.
