Have you ever hired someone to clean your house, mow your lawn, or change the oil in your car?   Having someone do your menu planning, grocery shopping, food preparation, packaging, storage, and cleaning up the mess shouldn’t be any different.  Here’s how a service of in-home meal preparation works.

The Interview
Having a personal chef is easy and affordable.  We start with an in-home interview where we will talk about your food preferences and fill out a detailed questionnaire that will allow me to fully customize your menu to your taste and dietary needs. I will answer any questions you have and then we can determine which service best meets your needs and how often you would like a chef visit. Here are a few questions from the food questionnaire.

bullet

What do you like to eat?

bullet

What don't you like?

bullet

Do you have any allergies?

bullet

Are you trying to follow a special diet plan?

bullet

Do you have some favorite recipes you just don't have time to make?

bullet

Is there a cookbook you'd like us to cook from?

Menu Selection
Based upon the above questionnaire I will plan your customized menu then submit it to you for your approval.

The Cook Date
We will schedule a day for me to come to your home to prepare your meals. This is called your your cook date.  I will schedule your service at a time that is convenient for you.  You don't need to be home while I am cooking for you but access to your kitchen will be necessary. When the cook date arrives, I will shop for all of your groceries and bring them to your house.  I will bring my own tools and equipment, including pots and pans, utensils, knives, etc. that will be needed that day.  I will spend 4 - 6 hours cooking for you, keeping the kitchen neat and clean as I work.

Packaging and Storage
I will package and store your meals neatly in the refrigerator or freezer and leave you a copy of the menu with easy heating instructions for each dish.  Answering the "What's for dinner?" question will be a snap – just check your menu, choose what sounds good, heat and enjoy.

Payment
Payment is due in full on the day that chef service is provided.  A grocery deposit of $100.00 is due 1 week, 7 days, prior to your scheduled cook date.  You can choose whether you want any overpayment of this deposit refunded or credited to your next scheduled cook date.

Schedule your next service

I know you will love your personal chef experience!  You can schedule regular weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly chef service or a one time service.
